First of all, a visit to the Lioson d'en Bas cheese farm at 9.30 am, where Blaise Chablaix, cheesemaker, explains with passion how the Lioson and Etivaz alpine cheese is made. A cheese tasting accompanied by a glass of wine, or syrup for children, completes this visit. You will leave with a delicious souvenir: a cheese from this famous mountain pasture.
The day continues with a walk that will take you to Lioson d'en Haut, where the pearl of the alpine lakes, Lake Lioson, is located!
The lakeside restaurant offers you a choice of 3 menus: ham on the bone and chips, cheese crust or fondue. The sheep grazing around the lake and the animal park will delight the little ones. For the most motivated the walk continues by an ascent of the Pic Chaussy or by the Col de la Rouge, and then down to Les Petits Lacs. Alternatively, by the path that leads from Lac Lioson directly to Les Petits Lacs, to come down again by a path in the middle of the flowery vegetation.
